A show about the world beneath our feet, set on freshly cut grass

Look down. What are you standing on?

Explore the ground and all of its wriggling inhabitants in this quirky dance show for young children and families.

Grass is a gently interactive show around an intimate set featuring worms, slugs, snails and spontaneous outbreaks of ant dancing. Animated butterflies flutter across the stage and humans pit against worms in this sensory exploration of the world beneath our feet.

With a special session after the show to stay and play, Grass will inspire children to look closely at the world around them, get moving, get mucky and play!

Grass has been performed over 200 times and toured to 62 venues since 2015, including Unicorn Theatre (London), British Dance Edition (Cardiff), UK touring, Edinburgh International Children’s Festival, Showbox Festival (Norway) and Lincoln Centre (New York).

This show is available for touring. Please contact claire@tandemworks.uk for bookings and information.

British Theatre Guide

The creative spark from A Second Hand Dance production goes to show how, given the right encouragement, the new technology-craving generation can become engrossed in the natural world and simple play
